  So my wife and I have three children and we have a hard time getting hours at work.We did some digging and found an old 10k gold ring,I bought her years ago.We decided to take it to Carter Jewelry of Bolivar Missouri.We had been there before twice and we both knew he paid less than the shop in Springfield Missouri.But the shop in Springfield was also 23 miles from Bolivar so we didn't have much choice.And Carter Jewelry was the only shop in Bolivar that would buy gold.the ring was 12 grams and he gave her only 18$ for it.I called and tried to be civilized and ask for our ring back and he told me "I don't know what to tell you buddy a deal is a deal."Common term to look out for.Too bad we didn't go with our gut on this one. Also this guy is covered in tattoos,has no skill in jewelry or design.He argued that he didn't want to give her anymore money for it cause the stone was missing.Well they have a sign outside that says "WE BUY GOLD",indicating that they aren't buying the jewelry for the stones or quality. Two things became clear: 1. This store wants to buy your gold jewelry ONLY IF you agree that if it's broken and is worth less than it's weight in gold.(witch is completely ignorant,and bordering a felony charge in this state,mainly considering the fact that they mislead clients with the sign."WE BUY GOLD" 2.We will be making that trip to Springfield from here on out.This guy was rude and hung up the phone on me three times.He asked me to come up to his store(next to the police station,and the city courthouse) and face him like a man,as if men call police to aid them in fights.Real men and good business owners know,the customer is always right, and this was a robbery.Real men can have an argument and do so without threatening and yelling over the phone like neanderthals.

  I have shopped with Gary for a few purchases and have been VERY satisfied with his products and service. Family owned that treats you like family....that pretty much sums it up!
